Students @ Gateway

We are excited to be part of a diverse family that God is building at Gateway Church Wrexham, bringing together people of so many different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. We meet on the university campus and have a special desire to serve students at Glyndŵr.

Our heart for students is that they would live to know, love and glorify God forever. Jesus is amazing! He has made it possible for us to enjoy a close and confident relationship with God the Father, and to live lives powered by the Holy Spirit. We want this to be your experience too!

Don't waste your life!

As a church we have caught something of God’s passion to see Jesus loved and worshipped across the world. We want you to be empowered to know Jesus and to live for him. In short: Don't waste your life! We're here to help you establish some firm foundations. Life can be tough, but with God you can make it. The adventure starts here!

Our prayer for you

We pray with Paul "that from his glorious, unlimited resources our Father will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. So that Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. That your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And that you may have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." Ephesians 3:16-19

You're welcome

We are a church that is welcoming to all, whether you are from the UK or are a student from overseas, whether you would call your self a Christian or not. We realise that a good way to meet new friends is over food, so through term time we have weekly student lunches.

Making connections

We want to see students built into our church community. We will help you find a connect group where you will meet other Christians of all ages to worship God, study his word, and tell others about him. We also run a student connect group to give students an extra opportunity to spend time together in the week.

What if I'm new to this?

We are used to meeting people who don’t know much about christianity, or who have questions about our way of doing church. Please don't be afraid to come with questions! We have very informal meetings, so whether you feel able to join in or just want to observe, we would just love to meet you.

What if English isn't my first language?

We frequently have the pleasure of welcoming overseas students and understand that some may not find English easy. However, we really do want to make you feel at home and for you to meet Jesus whereever you are from!

How do I find out more?

The best way to get to know us is to come along to our Sunday morning worship services. You will also find plenty of information about us on the rest of this website. But if you'd rather email or phone, please check out our contact details.
